Overview: Pacific Executive Search has been engaged on a search for a Senior Tax Analyst in the San Fernando Valley area. In this role, you would be responsible for executing various tax tasks crucial to compliance requirements and working closely with outside tax consultants, providing you with the chance to take on new responsibilities and grow in your career.


  • Manage a detailed tax calendar for income taxes, sales tax, property tax, and various business license filings.
  • Assess US sales tax nexus and suggest new registrations when thresholds are met.
  • Evaluate international sales tax nexus and propose new VAT/GST registrations as necessary.
  • Research tax exposure for both direct and indirect taxes to support business expansion into new countries.
  • Provide necessary documents to tax consultants, including monthly sales tax support and quarterly/annual income tax support.
  • Review outputs from tax consultants to maintain a timely tax calendar, covering income tax estimates, extensions, and tax returns.
  • Prepare accurate calculations for personal property tax files, business licenses, and other local tax filings.
  • Assist in collecting information for audit requests from various taxing authorities.
  • Update product tax codes in the ERP system to ensure accurate and current tax information.
  • Maintain a comprehensive tax payment listing, including reconciling tax payable/receivable for accuracy.
  • Organize tax return files, covering income tax returns, sales tax returns, and other local filings.
  • Sort and distribute tax-related mail scanned from the treasury mailbox.
  • Regularly communicate with internal teams and stakeholders on tax-related matters.
  • Provide proactive updates on changes in tax laws or regulations that may impact the organization.
  • Support the treasury team on ad hoc tasks and participate in related projects as needed.


  • 3+ years of experience in a tax-related role, including 1+ years of indirect tax experience.
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience with a national or Big 4 firm preferred.
  • Effectively communicate tax information to team members.
  • Establish open communication channels for smooth collaboration within the team.
  • Clearly articulate tax policies to individuals outside the treasury/tax department.
  • Execute tasks promptly and accurately as assigned by team members.
  • Adhere to established timelines and deadlines for task completion.
  • Demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness in problem-solving.
  • Propose viable alternatives to address issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Contribute positively to team dynamics by sharing knowledge and expertise for collective success.
  • Enrolled Agent, CPA.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
