Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial oversight of properties, with a primary focus on Common Area Maintenance (CAM) charges that fund the maintenance of shared facilities like hallways and lobbies.
  • Examine and reconcile CAM charges to ensure accurate billing for tenants regarding shared maintenance expenses.
  • Prepare comprehensive CAM reconciliation statements that detail the costs related to common area upkeep and allocate these expenses to tenants based on their lease agreements.
  • Communicate with tenants to resolve questions regarding CAM charges and provide clear explanations of their billing statements.
  • Maintain the financial records for a varied portfolio of properties, ensuring precision and efficiency in all accounting practices.
  • Conduct CAM reconciliations and produce detailed reports summarizing the results.
  • Collaborate with property managers and the lease administration team to guarantee timely and accurate billing procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of financial strategies and long-term business plans aimed at fostering organizational growth.
  • Provide expert financial insights to senior management to aid in strategic decision-making processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in property accounting, with a specific emphasis on CAM reconciliations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in conducting CAM reconciliations and managing property budgets.
  • Skilled in accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong grasp of financial regulations and accounting principles.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex financial data effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
