Overview: Pacific Executive Search has been engaged on a search for a Sr. Director Finance role that offers the opportunity to take on new responsibilities in a dynamic and growing organization. Our publicly traded client is looking for someone to manage a team of two that will serve as an internal consulting unit working on financial projects and strategic planning in addition to traditional budgeting and FP&A. The company, with over 1000 employees has been growing rapidly and is looking for someone experienced working cross-functionally on ad-hoc projects.

Description:
**Responsibilities**

  • Responsible for managing budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, ROI analyses, Budget vs. Actuals, and key strategic metrics
  • Supervise financial modeling by evaluating models, monitoring risk alternatives, and managing what-if scenarios and forecasts
  • Analyze profit and loss based on FP&A team input for all forecasting cycles, understanding variances and related risks and opportunities
  • Create presentations summarizing performance for Senior Management, Board of Directors, Investor Relations, etc.
  • Identify and monitor business and departmental KPIs, trends, and business risks and opportunities
  • Track approved budget changes, reconcile forecast to budget, and manage various expenses
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reporting packages and presentation materials for the Executive team and Board
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to provide guidance and facilitate financial integration
  • Improve FP&A processes and implement tools for automation and efficiency
  • Execute ad hoc requests as assigned by VP and/or CFO

**Qualifications**

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting, MBA preferred
  • Early career experience in investment banking, consulting, or related field
  • Minimum of 8+ years of finance experience, healthcare company and corporate FP&A experience a plus
  • Expertise in healthcare knowledge related to payor network, IPAs, ACOs preferred
  • Ability to think creatively and quickly with minimal direction and information
  • Strong skills in relationship-building, collaboration, and communication
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and financial modeling abilities
  • Data-oriented and consultative problem-solving mindset
  • Strong finance and accounting skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel as a Power User, expertise in presentation tools such as PowerPoint
  • Experience with ERP and financial planning systems like Anaplan, Planful, or Hyperion
