Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with external tax professionals to review and submit annual federal, state, and other tax returns for various entities, including limited partnerships, LLCs, individuals, trusts, and corporations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and deadlines.
  • Partner with Fund Accountants, portfolio companies, and external tax advisors to prepare taxable income projections and evaluate tax distribution calculations.
  • Supervise the preparation of financial statements, tax submissions, estate planning documents, and special projects for high-net-worth individuals and their associated family entities.
  • Provide assistance in structuring transaction taxes and reviewing fundraising processes.
  • Formulate and execute tax strategies designed to reduce tax liabilities for individuals and entities.
  • Work in conjunction with legal professionals, trustees, valuation specialists, and accountants to implement targeted strategies and initiatives.
  • Oversee the monitoring of investments, capital calls, distributions, and related financial transactions to guarantee precise reporting.
  • Manage investment tracking software to facilitate effective financial oversight.
  • Support cash flow management, portfolio distribution, and budgeting efforts for individuals and their associated entities.
  • Review draft and final Schedule K-1s and tax returns for accuracy before distribution and submission.
  • Address federal and state tax regulatory notices, including managing responses and coordinating tax audits as necessary.
  • Review and manage Pass-Through Entity Tax (PTET) payments.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax regulations and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting.
  • Experience working with clients in the financial services sector or related industries.
  • CPA designation is preferred.
  • A Master of Taxation degree is preferred.
