Description:
**Responsibilities**

  • Offer guidance and assistance on intricate accounting matters, such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, business combinations, equity transactions, and consolidation.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with new accounting standards and regulations.
  • Conduct research on technical accounting issues and document findings in detailed memos.
  • Work closely with external auditors during audits and address any audit inquiries.
  • Establish and uphold accounting policies, procedures, and controls for accurate financial reporting.
  • Supervise the preparation and assessment of financial statements following GAAP guidelines.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to guarantee precise and timely financial reporting.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes to uphold accounting standards and best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior accounting staff on technical topics.
  • Undertake additional projects as assigned.

**Qualifications**

  • Possess a deep understanding of GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements, with knowledge of Model Audit Rule being a bonus.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Show capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
  • Experience with ERP systems like Netsuite is advantageous.
  • Maintain high attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Skilled in collaboration and delegation of tasks.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with a mindset for continuous improvement.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and mentoring skills.
  • Experience with VBA or similar health insurance software is beneficial.
