Description:

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the SEC financial reporting process for the organization, including the review of quarterly and annual filings (Form 10-Q/K and other necessary SEC documents), ensuring top-quality standards and timely submissions.
  • Contribute to the preparation and evaluation of quarterly earnings presentations.
  • Assist in the creation and review of materials for Audit Committee and Board meetings.
  • Ensure adherence to essential financial reporting controls and maintain proper documentation to meet Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements.
  • Verify that the organization’s SEC filings meet eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) standards.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external auditors, addressing various requests as needed.
  • Provide ad hoc support in researching technical guidance, implementing new accounting standards, and compiling peer disclosure information.
  • Enhance the existing financial reporting process by streamlining operations, creating efficiencies, and documenting relevant policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to foster strong relationships within the accounting team, legal and compliance departments, investor relations, and management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant accounting experience, with a focus on SEC financial reporting.
  • CPA certification and experience with a Big Four accounting firm are preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in the alternative investment management sector is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Geneva and Workiva software is a plus.
