Pacific Executive Search is hiring for a pivotal role with a private equity firm. This VP of Finance position will be focused on modeling portfolio company financials with emphasis on quality of earnings. The firm takes a unique approach to heavily investing in new operations and assuring the ROI for these initiatives will be pivotal to maximizing portfolio value. 
Responsibilities:

• Serve as the intermediary between portfolio company executive management and the Board of Directors, representing the portfolio companies in all day-to-day finance-related activities.
• Monitor and assess financial performance of portfolio companies, including tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), managing working capital, overseeing capital expenditures, evaluating debt covenants, analyzing taxes, monitoring budgets, and overseeing general finance and accounting operations.
• Provide regular financial reports and updates to portfolio company management and the Board of Directors, highlighting areas of concern and recommending solutions to improve financial performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Proven experience in financial management, with a strong understanding of financial analysis, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise between portfolio company management and the Board of Directors.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify financial trends and performance indicators.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple portfolio companies simultaneously.
• Knowledge of debt covenants, tax regulations, and budgeting processes.
• Professional certification such as CPA or CFA is a plus.
