Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the preparation and review of income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, and trusts.
- Develop tax strategies, plans, and projections tailored to client needs.
- Conduct research on various tax scenarios and issues.
- Address and respond to inquiries and notices from tax authorities.
- Stay informed on the latest tax developments and best practices.
- Engage directly with clients regarding tax matters, identifying potential risks and opportunities related to their tax positions and changes in legislation.
- Foster client relationships and participate in marketing, networking, and business development initiatives.
- Identify and pursue opportunities with both new and existing clients.
Qualifications
- At least 8 years of experience in tax accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a graduate degree in Accounting.
- California CPA certification is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with a national or regional CPA firm.
- A book of business is preferred but not essential.
