Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle accounting processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage general ledger activities across multiple entities and properties, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing insights that drive informed decision-making.
• Oversee tenant billing, rent collections, and reconciliation of security deposits, enhancing cash flow management.
• Collaborate with property managers and operations staff to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis initiatives to align financial performance with strategic goals.
• Monitor internal controls, identify areas for process improvement, and ensure accurate data entry and reporting in Yardi software.

Qualifications

• Must-Have: Minimum 5 years of relevant bookkeeping/accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management.
• Proficiency in Yardi property management software.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting principles.
• Experience managing accounting across multiple legal entities.
• High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
