Responsibilities
- Execute full-cycle accounting processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Manage general ledger activities across multiple entities and properties, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing insights that drive informed decision-making.
- Oversee tenant billing, rent collections, and reconciliation of security deposits, enhancing cash flow management.
- Collaborate with property managers and operations staff to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis initiatives to align financial performance with strategic goals.
- Monitor internal controls, identify areas for process improvement, and ensure accurate data entry and reporting in Yardi software.
Qualifications
- Must-Have: Minimum 5 years of relevant bookkeeping/accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management.
- Proficiency in Yardi property management software.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting principles.
- Experience managing accounting across multiple legal entities.
- High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Nice-to-Have: Familiarity with additional accounting software or ERPs.
