Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of training initiatives across practice offices, developing materials and schedules to enhance finance and accounting functions.
- Identify and facilitate support activities from the Global Services Office (GSO) to enable local offices to focus on revenue-generating tasks such as billing and collections.
- Assist local office accounting managers in recruiting, training, and coaching team members to foster a high-performing finance team.
- Investigate and resolve accounting issues, identifying root causes and developing preventive measures through targeted training.
- Collaborate with practice office accounting managers and GSO staff to ensure exceptional accounting support and customer service.
- Safeguard sensitive financial information, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with firm policies.
Qualifications
- Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a global multi-office law firm or professional services organization.
- At least 5 years of relevant management experience, demonstrating strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software applications such as Elite or Emburse, along with experience in online banking and automated vendor processes.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with financial reporting standards and practices, including Revenue Recognition and ASC-742.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or NetSuite.
