Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting initiatives, including the assessment and documentation of new accounting standards and their implications for the organization.
• Prepare comprehensive analyses for significant transactions such as acquisitions and debt issuances, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Maintain and enhance the company’s U.S. GAAP accounting policies, providing accessible summaries for key stakeholders.
• Support the Chief Accounting Officer in delivering insightful monthly management reports to senior leadership.
• Oversee the accounting for the global bonus plan and assist with operational accounting areas, including revenue recognition and lease accounting.
• Drive process improvements and implement best practices, including the integration of AI technologies within the accounting function.
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and maintain robust internal controls over technical accounting processes.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA license is required.
• 5–7 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 or similar), focusing on technical accounting and financial reporting.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Strong technical research and documentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
• Nice-to-Have:
• Experience in financial services or broker-dealer environments.
• Prior experience in a corporate accounting or finance role.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
