Accounting Manager/Corporate Controller

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate approvals, coding, and timely payments through wire and ACH transactions.
• Maintain comprehensive vendor records, including W-9s, tax documents, and contracts, to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Lead the month-end closing process, preparing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to support financial reporting.
• Support quarter-end and year-end close processes, including 1099 filings, ensuring adherence to internal accounting policies.
• Drive process improvement initiatives, actively participating in the implementation of new procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Assist with various ad hoc projects, providing analytical support and insights to drive informed decision-making.
• Foster strong communication and collaboration across teams, ensuring alignment with investment, tax, and legal advisors.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant accounting experience with a strong grasp of U.S. GAAP.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP).
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong time management abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt to various audiences.
• Nice-to-Have:
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or NetSuite.
• Familiarity with tax-related workstreams and compliance processes.
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement new initiatives.
