Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end close process for assigned business units, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare journal entries, conduct account reconciliations, and perform initial flux analysis to maintain financial integrity.
- Serve as the primary accounting partner for business units, providing guidance on GAAP compliance, revenue recognition, and expense classification.
- Design and implement standardized accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and consistency.
- Support the transition to NetSuite by assisting with data cleanup, mapping, and validation of opening balances.
- Contribute to audit preparation and internal control documentation as the organization scales.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and support centralized accounting operations.
Qualifications
- Must-Have:
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on month-end close in multi-entity environments.
- CPA certification preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
- Experience with intercompany accounting and management fee processes.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, and advanced Excel skills.
- Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth organizations.
- Background in supporting system conversions or ERP implementations.
- Familiarity with professional services, marketing, or agency environments.
