Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of tax strategies to optimize compliance and minimize liabilities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Oversee tax compliance processes, including the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to support decision-making and provide strategic guidance on complex tax issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and compliance with ASC-740 and other relevant regulations.
• Support acquisition integration efforts by providing tax due diligence and structuring advice to maximize value.
• Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and industry trends, proactively advising stakeholders on potential impacts.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification required.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in tax management, with a strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
• Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems such as SAP or NetSuite.
• Demonstrated experience in tax compliance, planning, and research, particularly in revenue recognition and ASC-740.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to non-tax professionals.
• Nice-to-Have:
• Advanced degree in Taxation or related field.
• Experience with international tax issues and transfer pricing.
• Familiarity with acquisition integration processes and related tax implications.
• Previous experience in a managerial or leadership role within a tax function.
