Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete trade lifecycle from pre-execution through settlement, ensuring accuracy in trade verification and timely resolution of settlement discrepancies.
• Coordinate margin calls and manage daily cash movements to maintain liquidity and operational integrity.
• Perform daily reconciliations of trades and cash positions to support accurate portfolio accounting and risk management.
• Maintain and update position data and security static information within the order management system to reflect current holdings.
• Record asset servicing transactions in the portfolio management platform, ensuring comprehensive and up-to-date portfolio records.
• Collaborate closely with trading, accounting, and risk teams to facilitate precise and prompt portfolio reporting and operational issue resolution.
• Engage with brokers, custodians, and third-party providers to sustain strong operational relationships and streamline workflows.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of experience in hedge fund or investment management operations, particularly involving complex credit products.
  • Proven understanding of front-to-back trade processing, including trade confirmation, settlement, position management, and profit and loss generation.
  • Hands-on experience with bank debt and loan closing procedures, ideally within a credit fund or fund administration setting.
  • Familiarity with fixed income instruments such as syndicated loans, bonds, bankruptcy claims, and derivatives including swaps and CDS.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-moving trading environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and aptitude for learning proprietary systems and new technologies.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and external partners.
• Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience with collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) or other structured credit products.
  • Background in fund administration or operations within distressed debt or special situations investment strategies.
  • Exposure to portfolio management systems and order management platforms in a financial services context.
