Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate activities with the third-party fund administrator to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and effective communication with investors.
Track fund capital allocations, guarantee prompt funding of new loans, and confirm the distribution of interest payments to co-trustees and stakeholders.
Collaborate with the fund administrator on bookkeeping tasks, reconciliations, and the preparation of quarterly financial reports.
Oversee the complete onboarding process for loans, typically ranging from $2M to $5M, ensuring all documentation, system integration, and fund allocation are correctly managed.
Direct ongoing loan servicing activities, including payment processing, escrow management, monitoring loan covenants, and maintaining communication with borrowers.
Act as the internal point of contact for resolving loan servicing issues and liaising with third-party service providers as necessary.
Provide strategic guidance on fund structuring, asset-liability management, and liquidity planning.
Design and implement scalable financial controls and reporting systems to facilitate company growth.
Evaluate fund and loan performance to inform pricing strategies, risk management practices, and capital deployment decisions.
Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state regulations, including adherence to trust deed investment standards.
Establish and maintain effective risk management protocols and internal controls in partnership with legal and audit advisors.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or MBA is preferred.
Over 10 years of experience in financial leadership, preferably in real estate lending, private credit, or fund management.
Demonstrated experience in managing third-party fund administrators and servicing operations.
In-depth knowledge of private mortgage lending, loan documentation processes, and trust deed investment structures.
Strong analytical and communication skills, complemented by a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
Familiarity with fund accounting systems, loan servicing software, and general ledger platforms.
