Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of complex tax clients, including individuals, partnerships, S-Corporations, and closely held businesses.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on tax planning, compliance, and advisory matters, ensuring exceptional service and relationship management.
• Mentor and oversee tax staff, providing guidance on technical tax issues and workflow management to enhance team performance.
• Review and approve complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting staff development.
• Assist in the daily operations of the tax department, optimizing workflow and enhancing operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic tax planning initiatives, including real estate transactions and entity structuring.
• Contribute to the firm's growth by helping to elevate its leadership infrastructure and operational capabilities.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
• CPA license is required.
• 8+ years of public accounting tax experience, with a strong focus on flow-through entities, partnerships, S-Corporations, and high-net-worth individual taxation.
• Proven experience in reviewing tax returns and mentoring junior staff.
• Excellent client communication and relationship management skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for contributing to the growth of a boutique firm.
• Nice-to-Have:
• Experience with real estate taxation.
• Background in a mid-sized or regional CPA firm environment.
• Familiarity with modern technology and an AI-forward approach to tax services.
