Responsibilities

• Oversee and prepare intricate tax returns and related documentation for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, estates, trusts, and individual clients.
• Conduct thorough reviews of tax engagements to ensure accuracy and compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with tax managers and partners to resolve complex tax issues and provide strategic tax planning advice.
• Manage client relationships, particularly with high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses, across various industries including technology and real estate.
• Utilize tax software tools, such as CCH Axcess Tax, to streamline preparation and review processes.
• Mentor and guide junior staff members, fostering professional development within a supportive team environment.
• Stay informed on California-specific estate and trust tax matters, including Form 706 filings and related compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
  • CPA license with a minimum of five years’ experience in public accounting tax roles.
  • Proven expertise in preparing and reviewing tax returns for partnerships, corporations, pass-through entities, estates, and trusts.
  • Strong understanding of California estate and trust taxation, including Form 706, for at least one of the openings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with senior leadership and team members.
  • Stable employment history reflecting commitment and reliability.
• Nice-to-Have:
  • Master’s degree in Taxation or related advanced tax education.
  • Experience with CCH Axcess Tax software or similar tax preparation platforms.
  • Background serving clients in technology, real estate, agriculture, or nonprofit sectors.
