A growing investment management firm is seeking a high-performing Analyst to join its Finance & Accounting team. Reporting directly to senior finance leadership, this individual will support the firm’s fund and joint venture (JV) finance and accounting activities across a growing investment platform.

The Analyst will work closely with senior leadership, investment professionals, external service providers, and other business partners, gaining broad exposure to accounting, financial reporting, treasury, investor activity, operations, analytics, and strategic initiatives.

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for fund and JV entities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial statement preparation.
Maintain accurate books and records for fund and JV entities and reconcile underlying investment and property-level activity in accordance with U.S. GAAP and firm policies.
Review fund- and JV-level general ledger activity, investigate variances and unusual transactions, and drive issues through resolution.
Reconcile capital activity, investment activity, management fees, and cash movements within fund and JV structures.
Coordinate with fund administrators, property accountants, and other third-party service providers to ensure timely, complete, and accurate reporting.
Support capital calls, distributions, investor allocations, capital account reporting, and related notices and reconciliations.
Manage daily cash operations, including monitoring fund bank account balances and internal cash movements.
Assist with liquidity forecasting, bank reconciliations, wire support, and maintenance of banking records and controls.
Assist with ad hoc requests from investors, lenders, and internal stakeholders.
Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements, management reports, and investor reporting packages.
Support audit and tax processes, coordinate requests with external auditors and tax advisors, and monitor deliverables against established timelines.
Gather, organize, and validate financial and operational data from multiple systems and third parties with a strong focus on data integrity.
Maintain fund and JV schedules, trackers, supporting documentation, and data used for internal and external reporting.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve controls, standardize workflows, and increase the accuracy and efficiency of recurring processes.
Develop and maintain reporting and analytical tools using Excel, Power BI, and other technologies.
Utilize automation and AI tools thoughtfully to improve research, analysis, documentation, and workflow efficiency while maintaining appropriate review and confidentiality standards.
Collaborate with investment professionals on fund and JV track record data, financial models, transaction support, operational initiatives, and other high-priority projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field from an accredited institution; strong academic performance preferred.
1–2 years of relevant professional experience.
Public accounting experience is strongly preferred.
Experience in private equity, real estate, fund accounting, investment management, or another analytically rigorous environment is a plus.
Strong foundation in accounting and finance principles with excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and confidence learning new financial systems.
Experience with PowerPoint, Power BI, data analytics, automation, or AI tools is preferred.
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
Proactive and self-sufficient approach, including the ability to anticipate needs, independently research issues, ask thoughtful questions, and take ownership through completion.
