Responsibilities

• Compile and scrutinize tax returns across individual, partnership, corporate, trust, and estate filings.
• Support tax planning initiatives and advisory services tailored to affluent individuals and privately owned businesses.
• Conduct detailed tax research to address and resolve complex technical issues.
• Develop comprehensive workpapers and documentation for multifaceted tax engagements.
• Engage directly with clients to collect necessary information and clarify tax-related inquiries.
• Guide and review the output of junior tax staff to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Partner with Managers and Partners to uphold high standards of client service and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
  • Three to five years of public accounting experience focused on tax.
  • CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA licensure.
  • Proficiency in preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid grasp of tax regulations and compliance.
  • Effective communication and organizational abilities to manage client interactions and project workflows.
• Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience working with high-net-worth clients and closely held business structures.
  • Familiarity with tax software such as CCH Axcess or SurePrep.
