Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting for both property-level and corporate entities.
• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.
• Coordinate year-end audits with external auditors and maintain general ledgers for multiple entities.
• Direct the annual budgeting process and analyze budget-to-actual variances to provide actionable insights.
• Manage cash flow planning, intercompany transactions, and ensure compliance with debt covenants.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing team of accountants and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Implement and maintain internal control policies to ensure regulatory compliance and financial integrity.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• CPA certification
• 5-7 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in real estate
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Nice-to-Have:
• Experience with Yardi or similar property management software
• Background in public accounting
• Familiarity with corporate accounting principles and practices
