Chief Financial Officer for a Private Equity backed entertainment services company. The firm is currently founder owned in a high-margin niche and they just took on PE investors. They are looking for someone to grow the accounting and finance department and also implement KPIs and Operational Software that can lay the groundwork to continue their dramatic growth.

Resonsibilities:

  • Responsible, directly and through managing staff, for all cash management, equipment investments, insurance, budgeting, and accurate financial reporting

  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal control activities

  • Lead the development / management of a well-controlled technical infrastructure, including AI software, that will manage all business data and maximize accounting efficiency

  • Comply with federal, state, and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing compliance

  • Handle the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and any governmental agency reports

  • Assist and oversee the automation of invoice management – spread across billing, collections, and processing to reduce client delay, complications, and difficulties

  • Perform risk management analysis for new projects to assess respective profitability and ongoing capital expenditures

  • Implement internal accounting controls, which has historically been manual QuickBooks data entries

  • Oversee the hiring and HR functions, coordinating with external service providers (payroll, benefits, and general HR) and internal staff

  • Monitor performance through established key performance indicators, project tracking, and establish corrective measures as needed

  • Prepare detailed reports, both current and forecasting for board meetings, the management team, and the rest of the company

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Financial Accounting Standards Board, Internal Revenue Service, State Attorney General, and other relevant regulations

  • Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, identify areas of cost reduction and process enhancement

Qualifications:

  • Experience working for a Private Equity owned company

  • Experience implementing Key Performance Indicators

  • ERP implementation experience

  • 5+ years of experience in executive leadership positions

  • Executive experience with service-based business models

  • Fluency in financial IT programs and implementation

  • Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning

  • Experience with M&A

  • CPA / Tax / Audit
