Responsibilities

Maintain the general ledger and assist in the monthly close processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to uphold financial integrity.
Manage accounts payable by processing vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding, and overseeing payment runs.
Monitor daily cash balances and bank activity, processing treasury transactions to support effective cash management.
Utilize Yardi for accounting functions, generating reports and assisting with process improvements and special projects.
Support budgeting and expense tracking initiatives to enhance financial planning.
Research and resolve vendor inquiries, maintaining strong relationships and accurate vendor records.

Qualifications

Must-Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate, property management, or real estate investment.
Proficiency in Yardi and strong understanding of accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and cash management.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience in a real estate investment firm, property management company, or family office with real estate holdings.
Familiarity with budgeting and financial forecasting processes.
